Mission
The Laramie Chamber Business Alliance is a member-based, non-profit organization located in Laramie, Wyoming. Its main objective is to attract and retain primary jobs, along with facilitating the expansion and development of existing businesses in order to achieve sustainable growth and improve the economic well-being of the City of Laramie and Albany County citizens in Wyoming.
Vision
This element is established or confirmed yearly at the board retreat in November.

MEETING OVERVIEW
The regular monthly meetings of the LCBA are conducted on a monthly basis and follow a prescribed format. Agendas and related documents are sent via email the Friday before the meeting for the Board’s review. STAFF & GENERAL OPERATIONS
LCBA is a Board-Governed and Staff-administered organization. The CEO, hired by the board of directors, is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations as well as administering the staff.

COMMITTEES, INITIATIVES & EVENTS
INTERNAL COMMITTEES
EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The executive committee is comprised of: Current Board Chair, Vice Chair, Treasurer, Secretary, and immediate Past Board Chair. This committee meets on Friday morning the week prior to board meetings to discuss the agenda of the upcoming meeting and business that needs to be accomplished at the board meeting. This committee does not have any additional authority in the organization, but serves to better the function and organization of LCBA and it’s board meetings.

PROPERTIES COMMITTEE
The Properties Committee is comprised of members of the LCBA Board of Directors. It’s function is to evaluate and advise on all matters relating to properties owned and administered by the organization. The committee meets monthly, and additionally as needed, to provide recommendations to the board for consideration and action.

EXTERNAL COMMITTEES
BUSINESS RETENTION & EXPANSION
Function: The LCBA Business Retention & Expansion Committee (BR&E) is responsible for the development of programming which local businesses will find useful. The committee will also promote and encourage the expansion and retention of local businesses.
Goals:
- Meets Monthly
- Conduct an annual survey of local businesses to identify what their needs and interests are<.li>
- Conduct six (6) Small Business Roundtable events per calendar year
- Identify industry trends, both good and bad, and develop responses to assist the local business climate
- Updates to the existing Business Resource Goals
- Assist with businesses that have reached out to the committee

INFRASTRUCTURE & ADVANCEMENT
Function: This committee shall meet a minimum of six (6) times each calendar year and facilitate programming directly relating to areas in which the community finds challenges and constraints as it pertains to growth. Areas of focus shall be Housing, City Growth Direction, Extension of Municipal Services as examples. The committee shall engage community stakeholders in a variety of different formats to determine what barriers to growth are factual and discuss planning to address the barriers.
Goals:
- Host an employers for employees housing forum in Q1 2023 to identify major employers' employee housing wish list for the community
- In conjunction with the above, the committee shall re-engage with the City of Laramie Planning Department to update the Community Development Liaison process. This partnership is designed to help the one-time user of the Unified Development Code (as adopted by the City of Laramie) and alleviate some frustrations from the user's perspective.

NETWORKING & EVENTS
Function: Staffing at sign-in table at Business After Hours events. Assist staff as needed for other events through planning and execution.
Goals: Display a positive image of the LCBA and be a consistent presence at events to answer questions and assist guests. Help grow membership by being present in the community and aware of current membership.
FINANCE
Function: Meets monthly to review financial reports, manages the revolving loan fund, assists with budget creation and monitoring, responsible for making financial recommendations to board of directors, and investment account monitoring.
Goals: Maintain financial health of the organization and provide support for planning expenditures for projects and operations.
LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Function: Support Leadership Laramie as wall as develop events to foster and promote leadership development in the community. The committee will work to ensure that all of our leadership development initiatives are planned and implemented in a regular fashion.
Leadership Laramie stands alone as a longtime function of the organization. Led by Shantel Andersen, the program is two-years, in which you spend the first year learning and the second year leading. Due to the curriculum of the program, the committee neither has oversight or requirements to be involved, but serves to support this particular program through engaging graduates in the Leadership Learning Series and assisting the class should a need identified by Shantel arise.
The Leadership Learning Series launches in January 2023 and serves as a program to develop leadership skills and characteristics through a monthly luncheon. Designed to form cohesion and cohorts within the business community it provides a resource to our members to continually develop leaders within their organizations.
Goals: Continue to grow LCBA's leadership programs and presence while meeting the needs of the business community in developing impactful and effective leaders at all levels.

Leadership Laramie is a program of the Laramie Chamber Business Alliance. Modeled after the same principles as other leadership programs throughout the United States, this program is designed and structured to familiarize participants with their community, the issues leaders face and build essential leadership skills. Leadership Laramie is a 2-year program.
MEMBERSHIP LUNCHEON
LCBA’s Annual Membership Luncheon takes place in January and serves as the official Meeting of the Membership for the organization. Each year the meeting announces the new and existing members of the board. Transitions the chair of the organization. Gives a business re-cap of the prior year, both for the LCBA and local business environment. And, provides an outlook of the coming year and the opportunities to serve within the organization.

CIRRUS SKY BUSINESS PARK
Wyoming's first technology-zoned business park. In 2012, the LCBA partnered with the City of Laramie and received a grant from the Wyoming Business Council to develop a large plot of land on top of Laramie's highest ridgeline.
Annual Banquet
The Annual Banquet is LCBA’s yearly celebration of local businesses. This is the major social event of the year for the organization and includes the annual awards for outstanding businesses and business people.
